Mark Alan Threadgill – Biography

Mark Alan Threadgill is a singer/song writer from Texas whose musical roots run deep into the Texas music scene.  He began singing and playing music with his family as a member of The Threadgills at the tender age of ten years-old and hasn’t looked back since.  During his musical career, he has performed at such venues as the Kerrville Folk FestivalWillie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.  As a member of the Texas Association of Fairs and Events (TAF&E) and Texas Festivals and Events Association (TFEA), he has delighted audiences all over Texas with his unique country-blues style.  With this new CD, Where Will It Lead Us From Here, Mark embarks on an exciting chapter of his musical career; blending country, blues, and jazz together in one CD with an emphasis on social awareness that is near and dear to Mark’s heart.

i just bought your album. It was awesome! I loved every song. My favorite song is “What Color Am I”. I had goosebumps when I listened to it. I was so excited to hear it and it gave me the same goosebumps as when you sang it for us at Karen’s house.

  • Karen Says:

This is a GREAT CD! It is a permanent fixture in my car and on my iPod! Everyone should know that if they go on-line and buy the song, “Where Will It Lead Us From Here”, a portion of the sales will go to a charity that helps find jobs for veterans. This is an important issue, because most people don’t know that 1 in 3 American veterans aged 24 and under can’t find jobs when they return home. As the proud aunt of 2 wonderful young men in our armed forces, I fully support this cause!

  • Tommie Lee Bradley Says:

Outstanding album – excellent Mix and Master.
God Bless you and yours always,
    Tommie Lee

Hi Mark….I think you lived across the street from me in Corpus. Always wondered about you and your family. Had many choice memories of music from your family and Mike and Karen Forbess in their garage. The Grimes family lived across from our home on Woodhaven. Your sisters were so beautiful and kind to me. I admired your family. So glad life has treated you well. CAROL BLANKENSHIP BRIDGER
